Khalsa College, Garhdiwala caters to the needs of rural area students. Some of our students belong to poor families. The students who are under SC/ST category avail the scholarships given by Govt. But there are students who belong to general category with a poor financial background. It is difficult for them to pay their fees or other expenses to continue their studies. We feel proud that many of our old students contribute generously towards the development of the college. A group of old students of our college have created a fund for the general category students in the form of fixed deposits, which is used to support the poor students who are unable to pay their fees. These scholarships are awarded each year. It’s our humble appeal to our alumni that it’s a great opportunity for them to contribute in this noble cause to encourage the education of the needy students.
