Scholarships

 

Various scholarships are offered by college.

  • *Scholarships by College for Brilliant Students
  1. Students securing above 95% marks in Board Examinations & 85% in University Examinations will be awarded free ship except Board/PU/DPI charges.
  2. Students securing above 90% marks in Board Examinations & 75% in University Examinations will be rewarded Scholarship Rs. 3100/-.
  3. Students securing above 85% in Board Examinations & 70% in University Examinations will be rewarded Scholarship Rs. 2100/-
  4. Brother/Sister Concession (Rs. 1000/- per student)

  • *Scholarship /Concession by College for outstanding sport persons:
  1. All India Inter-varsity/National level winners (Teams/ Individuals) getting 1st & 2nd & 3rd positions will be awarded with a Scholarship of Rs. 5100/ , 3100/- & 2100/- respectively.
  2. University (Inter-College) Competition (Team/Individual) getting 1st & 2nd & 3rd Positions will be awarded with a Scholarship of Rs. 3100/- , 2100/- & 1100/- respectively.

  • *Scholarship /Concession by College for Winners of Youth Festivals:
  1. All India Inter-Varsity/National Level winners (Teams/ Individuals) getting 1st & 2nd & 3rd positions will be awarded with a Scholarship of Rs. 5100/ , 3100/- & 2100/- respectively.
  2. Winners of Inter-Zonal Youth festival getting 1st and 2nd & 3rd positions will be awarded with a Scholarship of Rs. 3100/- , 2100/- & 1100/- respectively and 1st and 2nd position in Zonal Youth Festival will be awarded Rs. 2100/- & 1100/- respectively.

  • *The University Merit Position holder having more that 75% marks will be awarded Rs. 5100/- by college.
  • A concession of 5% of the total fee will be given by college to the students coming from SGPC schools/ colleges.


      *This scholarship or concession will be provided only on offline exams/compititions as per decision of scholarship committee.

Scholarships provided by SGPC, Sri Amritsar

  1. Student securing above 60% marks in ‘Religious’ examinations will be awarded Scholarship of Rs. 3100/- (For B.A.) and Rs. 4100/- (For M.A.)

  2. Student securing above 80% marks in One Year Correspondence Course in Sikh Religion will be awarded Scholarship of Rs. 1100/-. If a student secures 1st, 2nd and 3rd position in this course, he/she will be awarded with a Scholarship of Rs. 5100/-, Rs 4100/- and Rs. 3100/- respectively.

  3. Special Scholarships for Amritdhari Students of Rs. 8,000/- to 10,000/- for different classes.


Scholarships provided by Govt. of Punjab & Govt. of India

  1. Scholarship by Govt. of Punjab for S.C./B.C. Students.

  2. Scholarship by Ministry of Minority affairs (Govt. of India) for Minotity students (Sikh, Muslim, Jain etc.)

Scholarships provided by P.U., Chandigarh

  • For a topper in each stream at University level.

  • Sh.Rulia Ram Memorial stipend.

  • For poor and brilliant students.

  • For brilliant students in Sports.

  • For handicapped students.

  • Mrs.Udham Kaur Menon Memorial scholarship(Rs.800/- per month).

Scholarships provided by various Associations & Individuals.

  • Scholarship for poor and brilliant students by O.S.A. (Rs.3000/- each for 5 students).

  • Memorial Scholarships for poor and brilliant students (Interest of FDR’s of corpus fund).
  • Single Girl Student Scholarship by U.G.C for Post Graduate students.

  • S. Amarjit Singh (ASI & Old Student) Memorial Scholarship Rs. 11000/- by Chandigarh Police.

  • Scholarship by Directorate, Sainink Bhalai Punjab (Chandigarh).

  • Dheean pukardian scholarship by S.Kuldeep Singh Saran of U.S.A. for poor fatherless female students(12,000 per students annually since 2018)
