About the Alumni:

Overview: The college has healthy links with the old students since its inception. However, a formal shape was given in 18th November 2004. We consider our old students as ambassador of our college. It’s the matter of proud for us that our alumni have achieved success in their endeavors and reached the highest positions in all fields - whether it is administrative, academics, industry, entrepreneurship, politics or management. The main aim of the association is to develop cordial relationship between College and old students and to share experience of mutual growth & achievement in various fields. To fulfill this purpose, time to time alumni meeting & re-unions are organized in the college campus. Now, old students can get in touch with the college whenever they want to, and from wherever they are. The alumni, students, employers, community and the College together seek to give a lot by building mutually beneficial and enduring relationships; and the College is committed to take its alumni relations programme to a new level.

 Aims & Objectives:

  • To establish and strengthen the bond between the college and alumni.
  • To provide a forum for alumni to come together to exchange ideas and professional expertise.
  • To organize fundraising events to support the association, the institution and deserving students who are in need of scholarships.

  Contribution:

Khalsa College, Garhdiwala caters to the needs of rural area students. Some of our students belong to poor families. The students who are under SC/ST category avail the scholarships given by govt. But there are students who belong to general category with a poor financial background. It is difficult for them to pay their fees or other expenses to continue their studies. We feel proud that many of our old students contribute generously towards the development of the college. A group of old students of our college have created a fund for the general category students in the form of fixed deposits, which is used to support the poor students who are unable to pay their fees. These scholarships are awarded each year. It’s our humble appeal to our alumni that it’s a great opportunity for them to contribute in this noble cause to encourage the education of the needy students.
