The Old Student Association (OSA) was organized in Khalsa College,Garhdiawala Distt. Hoshiarpur on 18th November 2004 by the former Principal of the college, Mr. R.S. Pawan. A function was held in the college hall to greet the old students of the institution. At this occasion many old students were present in the function. The prominent personalities like S.Surinder Singh, Executive Director West, FCI and Mr.Tilak Raj Sharma, Distt. Manger FCI, Colnel A.K. Gautam etc, who are the old students of the institution graced the occasion with their presence. Throwing the light in his life, Mr. Surinder Singh, in his speech shared that he belonged to a very poor family and it was Khalsa College, Garhdiwala where he managed to get his graduation degree by the economic help by a clerk of the college. He saluted the worthy teachers of the institution with a special mention of Prof. S.P. Arora (Department of English) and Prof. Sraup Singh (Department of Mathematics). He said that he is indebted to his alma-mater Garhdiwala. Being a rural area, scope of education was dim before the establishment of Khalsa College. S. Surinder also requested the OSA to financially contribute for the development of the college.
Then Mr. Tilak Raj Sharma, secretary of old students association also delivered his speech on the occasion. He promised to provide any type of assistance to the institution from time to time. In the end, Principal thanked the dignified personalities for the precise time they called out of their busy schedule for the function.
In the next session 2006-07 the OSA organized a function under the guidance of the Dr. Satwinder Singh Dhillon, Principal, Khalsa College, Garhdiwala. The chief guest of the occasion was Mrs. Jagjit Kaur Bajwara, W/O S. Varinder Singh Bajwa,Member Rajya Sabha. The old students of the college, Sh. Dharam Chand Lakha, principal Secretary, Food and Supply, Govt. of UP, presided over the function. Many old students of the college were also present at the occasion. The function began with a shabad by the students of the college followed by the cultural items like Gidha, Bhangra, Poem and song. The famous folk singers of Punjab, Gurmeet Bawa and Lachi Bawa, with their songs provided sheer entertainment to the audience. They sung a number of songs and let the audience dance with the beats of music. After the cultural proggramme, Mrs. Jagit Kaur Bajwa addressed the audience and inspired the students to be dedicated to their studies and shine like a star in the sky. After Mrs. Bajwa, Sh. Dharam Chand Lakha, old students and threw light on his college life, his struggles and his achievements. He advised the students to work hard, because it is only hard work by which one can get rid of the problems and difficulties. After the speech of Mr. Lakha, Pricipal Dr. Satwinder Singh Dhillon threw light on the problems and necessities of the college campus and requirement of more class rooms for the college.
Mrs. Jagit Kaur Bajwa announced Rs. 2 Lac as a grant to the college. Mr. Dharam Chand Lakha announced to build a canteen for the college and donated Rs. 4 Lac for this purpose.
Dr. Satwinder Singh Dhillon, principal of the college, thanked the dignified personalities for heir kind gesture and their kind attention towards their Alma-mater. He also thanked the old students for their presence. A tea party was also arranged after the function. Khalsa College Garhdiwala organized the Old Student Meet on 19th December 2010. The response to the above mentioned event was over-whelming and very encouraging. An Old Students Directory was also published on this occasion.
A meeting of office bearers and executive members of OSA wad held on 06 September 2014. Chaudhary Balbir Singh Miani (Patron), S. Gurdip Singh Kalkat (President), Sh. Tilak Raj Sharma (Senior Vice-President), S. Faqir Singh Sahota (General Secretary), Ms. Jatinder Kaur (Joint Secretary), S. Rajwant Singh (Cashier) and Prof. Satwant Kaur (Incharge) attended this meeting under the guidance of Principal Dr. S.S. Dhillon. In this meeting it was decided that Alumni meet will be held on 17 January 2015 and the already published directory of old students will be updated by adding new entries. The members also suggested to give an advertisement in the newspapers to maximize the spread of information regarding Alumni Meet.
Next meeting of office bearers of OSA was called on 11 October 2014. S. Gurdeep Singh Kalkat (President), Sh. Tilak Raj Sharma (Senior President), Ms. Jatinder Kaur (Joint Secretary), S. Rajwant Singh (Cashier) and executive members Principal B.S. Minhas, Smt. Sukhwinder Kaur, S. Navtej Singh, Commodore V.K. Gautam, Sh. Jatinder Sharma, Dr. Satwant Kaur (Incharge) and Principal Dr. S.S. Dhillon attended the meeting. Amount of donation by alumni was revised in this meeting. Members were informed about the scholarships given from OSA Fund to the meritorious and poor students. Members also discussed the names of personalities that will be the presiding guests during the occasion of Alumni Meet. In this meeting Sh. B.S. Minhas, Principal S.D. College, Hoshiarpur donated Rs. 10,000/- to the college. Sh. V.K. Gautam announced to give Rs. 5000/- to a one students for four years. Ms. Sukhwinder Kaur donated 4000 to the college. This meeting rejoiced when Principal Hardiljit Gosal, one of our old staff, joined the meeting.
In the mean time an advertisement was given in the newspapers regarding Alumni Meet. Alumnus were informed by sending e-mails, invitation Cards, college Facebook page and through phone calls.
Another meeting of office bearers and executive members of OSA wad held on 20 December 2014. Chaudhary Balbir Singh Miani (Patron), S. Gurdip Singh Kalkat (President), Sh. Tilak Raj Sharma (Senior Vice-President), S. Faqir Singh Sahota (General Secretary), S. Rajwant Singh (Cashier), Ms. Jatinder Kaur (Joint Secretary), executive members Smt. Sukhwinder Kaur, S. K.C. Bhatoia, Sh. Jatinder Sharma and Dr. Satwant Kaur (Incharge) and Principal Dr. S.S. Dhillon were present in the meeting. Due to some reasons the prior decided date of Alumni Meet was changed from 17 January 2015 to 14 March 2015. In this meeting Chaudhary Balbir Singh Miani announced to donate 51,000/-. S. Rajwant Singh Donated 50,000/- to the college. All the members of OSA gave their condolence to the sudden death of mother of our old student S. Chetan Singh.
Next meeting held on 07 February 2015. S. Gurdip Singh Kalkat (President), Sh. Tilak Raj Sharma (Senior Vice-President), S. Faqir Singh Sahota (General Secretary), Ms. Jatinder Kaur (Joint Secretary), S. Rajwant Singh (Cashier) and executive members S. K.C. Bhatoia, Smt. Sukhwinder Kaur and Prof. Satwant Kaur (Incharge) attended this meeting under the guidance of Principal Dr. S.S. Dhillon. In this meeting the main agenda was to review the preparations of the upcoming Alumni meet on 14th March 2015. Principal Dr. S.S. Dhillon with the consent of all members decided to dedicate Diretory of old students and staff to the Golden Jublee of the college in March 2016. In This meeting S. Gurdeep Singh Kalkat donated 51,000/- to the college. Our alumni S. Surinder Singh Neki , S. Swaran Singh Deepak, S. Daljeet Singh and S. Amrik Singh Sahota (NRI) specially attended the meeting. S. Swaran Singh Deepak presented his book titled ‘Sant Marg Darshak Ate Komi Jeevan Dia Jhalkan’ to Principal Dr. S.S. Dhillon.
To review the arrangements for upcoming Alumni meet a meeting was called again on 28 Feb 2015. Chaudhary Balbir Singh Miani (Patron), S. Gurdip Singh Kalkat (President), Sh. Tilak Raj Sharma (Senior Vice-President), S. Faqir Singh Sahota (General Secretary), Ms. Jatinder Kaur (Joint Secretary), S. Rajwant Singh (Cashier) and executive members Smt. Sukhwinder Kaur, S. K.C. Bhatoia, Sh. Jatinder Sharma, S. Jagtar Singh Balala, Dr. Satwant Kaur (Incharge) and Principal Dr. S.S. Dhillon were present in the meeting. S. Balbir Singh Miani Donated 51000/- in this meeting. It was decided that a new body of office bearers will be elected on the day of Alumni Meet.
Alumni Meet held on 14 March 2015. Alumni were served with tea and snacks during which faculty and the alumni had an open interaction. Then student cited group shabad. Then president of OSA welcomed the old students. Many alumni shared their thoughts and experience as well as interesting moments of the campus life. The cultural committee of the college organized a cultural programme for alumni. The item of Folk Instruments was enjoyed very much by everyone. Some of the old students also presented their talent. Mr. Madan Mohan blew the flute and S. Rajwant Singh sang some songs. The traditional folk dances Bhangra and Gidha were also performed on the stage. The alumni who made contribution toward the college were honoured from the stage. The new body of office bearers and executive members was also constituted on this occasion. The occasion was rejoiced when Old Students danced to the fine tunes of the music. A delicious lunch was served at the end of re-union. With promise and hope of meeting again in the journey of life, the alumni bid farewell to each other.

Jatinder Sharma and Prof. Satwant Kaur (Incharge) attended this meeting under the guidance of Principal Dr. S.S. Dhillon. The main agenda of the meeting was to attach more alumni to the college. Members also suggested to involve Sarpanches of the nearby villages in the upcoming Golden Jublee of the college in 2016.
