Khalsa College, Garhdiwala, Hoshiarpur, was established in 1966 during the celebrations of the third centenary of the tenth Sikh Guru, Guru Gobind Singh Ji. Dr. M.S. Randhawa, an ICS ( equivalent to modern day rank of IAS) officer and renowned figure in administration and education, along with Mahant Sewa Dass Ji, Head of Dera Bahadurgarh (Hoshiarpur), took the initiative to establish the college with the objective of educating the people of the backward Kandi area.
Presently, Khalsa College Garhdiwala is a multi-faculty, postgraduate, co-educational institution, with a campus spread over 9 acres of land. The college is housed in a well-maintained building comprising a spacious hall, smart classrooms, a seminar hall, well-equipped science laboratories, a girls’ hostel, a well-furnished library, computer laboratories, and classrooms. Students receive their education in a healthy environment and enjoy the benefits of rural life.
