 Anti-Ragging Cell:

Khalsa College, Garhdiwala strictly adheres to the UGC Regulations (2009) and Supreme Court directives to prevent ragging in any form. Recognized as a criminal offense under national and state laws, including the Punjab Educational Institutions (Prohibition of Ragging) Bill (2013), ragging involves harassment, coercion, intimidation, or discrimination. The college ensures full compliance with anti-ragging guidelines and maintains a zero-tolerance policy. The Anti-Ragging Committee actively monitors and enforces preventive measures to safeguard students. As per the UGC’s 3rd amendment (2016), any act of physical or mental abuse, including bullying or exclusion based on identity, is strictly prohibited. The college fosters a respectful and secure environment, and no incidents of ragging have been reported to date.

  • The college prospectus clearly states that ragging is strictly prohibited, and offenders will face disciplinary action as per established norms.
  • Notices and warnings regarding ragging are displayed at key locations across campus.
  • All students must submit an undertaking affirming their compliance with anti-ragging policies.
  • A Centralized Anti-Ragging Grievance Committee, along with departmental committees, convenes at the start of each academic session to reinforce preventive strategies.
  • Under the supervision of the Principal, the Anti-Ragging Committee organizes awareness campaigns through posters, banners, and various activities.
  • Faculty members vigilantly monitor academic blocks, cafeterias, and playgrounds, encouraging interaction between senior and junior students to prevent ragging.

These proactive measures ensure that Khalsa College remains a ragging-free institution.
